What is Excel
Microsoft Excel is a software program included in the Microsoft Office suite. It is used to create spreadsheets, which are documents in which data is laid out in rows and columns — like a big table
Due to its extreme versatility and power, Excel has become one of the most-used software programs in the business world since its launch in 1985. Indeed, the personal computing renaissance of the 1980s and 1990s was largely driven by the many uses of Excel and other spreadsheet software.

1) Excel Negative Numbers
Microsoft Excel uses positive and negative numbers in performing mathematical calculations. In Excel, negative numbers are displayed with minus symbols by default. These are the numbers that are lower than 0 in value. Excel makes it easy to recognize the negative numbers by facilitating various best practices.
It needs to recognize the negative numbers while performing the calculations. In some scenarios, there is a need for converting the negative numbers to positive numbers or representing them with appropriate format to use the negative values appropriately, such as determination of variance. It is required to represent them by applying a specific conditional format based on the requirement.
1.1 Explanation of Negative Numbers in Excel
The negative numbers is very easy in Excel. Excel has the ability to handle both positive and negative numbers effectively. However, negative numbers can generate some confusion to the users in sometimes. There is a chance for the occurrence of issues while handling negative numbers when the inappropriate format is chosen for them. This results in displaying the errors when a user tries to perform calculations on the negatives.
Entering the negative numbers with a minus sign is very easy but analyzing them is tough when a mixture of positive and negative values is presented. To avoid this problem, it needs to change the format of the excel cells that contained negative values to get accurate results.
2)Paste Transpose in Excel
In excel, there are instances where you would have never imagined before, but if you are good at advanced skills, you will find a way out sort out. One such instance as a new user we face is “Transposing the data.” The word Transpose may find strange, but this will be the feature you may have to use more often than not to organize the data. So in this article, we will show you different ways of paste transposing the data in excel.
2.1 What is Transpose in Excel?
In Excel, we store data in rows and columns; it depends on the user to a user how they want to show the data. Some users may want to see more rows than columns, and some users may want to see more columns than rows, so in these cases, if we can change the position of the rows into columns and columns into rows.
3.How to format Hide Number Zero
.#,##0 will display numbers with thousands separators.
.$#,##0.00 will display two decimal places and a currency symbol.
.mm/dd/yyyy will display a date as 06/20/2021.
.[h]:mm will display hours in excess of 24 hours.
.#,##0,K will display numbers in thousands.
.[red]0 will display a number in red text.
.[blue]0 will display a number in blue text.
.[color11]0 will use color index 11, often olive
In these simple formats, there is only one format being used. If you enter two formats separated by a semicolon, the first format is used for positive and zero value, and the second format is used for negative values. For example,[red]-0;[blue]0 will display negative numbers in red and other numbers in blue.
If you enter three formats separated by semicolons, the first format is for positive, the second format is for negative, and the third format is for zero. For example,[red]-0;[green]0;[blue]0 will display 0 cells in blue text.
4.How to format Phone number
When entering telephone numbers, it is always preferable to format the numbers into bite-sized chunks, either using dots, hyphens, spaces or parentheses. Most phone numbers can go anywhere from 9 to 12 digits.
Looking at a whole column of 12 digit numbers can make the reader’s eyes a little fuzzy, so it is always preferable to present these numbers in a more easy-to-read format, especially when the numbers involve international and national codes.
In addition to the issue of readability, there is the issue of auto-formatting. Let’s say you have a telephone number like ‘12000000’.
After you type this number in a cell of an Excel sheet and press the return key, you will find the number auto-formatted to ‘12000000’.
This is because Excel sees this as a regular number, not as a telephone number. It, therefore, assumes the leading zero as insignificant and removes it automatically.
